Could not recommend Matt, Bill & the team at Ash Island Lofts more highly.
We had a loft conversion, side return, bathroom rennovation & electrics/plumbing done and everything was done on budget, to a very high standard and in less time that originally antipated. The team are also a delight to work with, very transparent and up front about how long things will take / how much things will cost. Thank you guys!
We would highly recommend Matt and his team at Ash Island.
We engaged their services to complete a kitchen extension and are absolutely thrilled with the results. Matt was informative and helpful from the original meeting - explaining all steps and discussing all options with us. The team completing the work were professional, attentive and friendly. Constantly maintaining a high standard of finish and also ensuring that everything met our wishes. The new space is everything we hoped and more and are so grateful for Matt and his team in making this a reality for us.
Matt and the team at Ash Island Lofts are highly recommended if you’re looking for a loft conversion / extension.
Working with them on their projects makes our job as party wall surveyors more stress free due to their eye for detail, customer care and ability to deal with issues. We have worked with them now since 2019 and would highly recommend.
We have worked with AshIsland for a few years now and each job is carried out with meticulous details and perfect finishes.
If you want perfect communication, a great quality job and overall great experience, look no further than Ash Island. Matt in particular is my contact and his honesty shines through on every aspect of the jobs they do.
Amazing service and loft conversion completed in record time to a high standard.
Highly recommend Matt, Christian and Gary. All the team are excellent!
I have been amazed at their willingness to work hard just to get me the designs and permissions I need even before sskingvfor much on the way of payment if anything Their architect or draughtspeople such as Pqarib are so helpful, knowledgeable and patient and I find Matt to be trustworthy, who delivers on what he says.
I'm surprised as didn't know them really and came across them by chance and wish I'd worked with them on earlier properties. I can absolutely recommend them.
My wife and I had our loft conversion done by Ash Island back in January and February and couldn't be happier with the end result.
From the very start, with our first meeting with Matt to discuss our plans, all the way through to completion, they were fantastic throughout. The construction team were always on time each day, kept us updated with the schedule, made sure the property was kept as clean as possible, always found solutions to tricky problems, resolved the few issues there were straight away and completed the work in a quick timeframe and to a brilliant standard. The neighbours also commented on how good Ash Island were! We are so happy that we chose Ash Island and highly recommend them to anyone else looking to have a loft conversion done.
Wasted my time coming round to provide a quote and never sent the quote...
We are really happy with our loft conversion (two bedrooms and one bathroom) and Matt and the team made it a really smooth and easy process from start to finish.
The level of detail and breakdown to their quote was refreshingly transparent and meant there were no unexpected surprises at the end. Karel managed our project day to day and he was brilliant. A real asset to the business - very efficient and on top of everything. Communication was great throughout. We were impressed with the speed of the build and the project ran seamlessly. We were happy with the quality of the work, and all the trades people who worked on our house were respectful throughout - we lived through the build with two small children so this was important. We are thrilled with the final results and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Ash Island and use them again in the future.
Could not recommend this company more highly.
Every step of the build, from the planning to completion was stress free. Having been let down by building companies before we were anxious to undertake a large building project but Ash Island made the experience enjoyable. Have recommended them to all family and friends thinking of having a loft conversion done.
A big thank you to Matt and his team for completing our loft conversion well within the time period they quoted, professionally and smoothly.
Matt is a great chap to speak too and he will answer any queries promptly, also I have to give a big thumbs up 👍 to our Project manager Timmy and also Robert who both worked on our build from start to finish, both were pleasant and professional to have on-site during the build, in fact, all the team that worked on our build were great along with Michelle and Chris in the office. I would highly recommend Ash Island to anyone considering a loft conversion or even a kitchen extension.
I would not believe the generic 5 star reviews they are clearly fake written by friends and family as they are almost all the same review with slightly different wording.
Ash Island Lofts are a shambles. They will build your loft and leave it with no roof or windows for weeks, while doing plasterboarding on the inside, without making the structure water tight. They also do tape and join walls which is something that should only be done in commercial properties NEVER domestic properties. I would avoid having work done by this company as they will take money for a high quality job and cut corners.
Matt has somehow made a building project pleasurable!
His reassuring and friendly confidence is shared by his team and they were honestly a pleasure to have around. The guys were polite, considerate and kept us updated throughout the build. From the very start, Matt was transparent and helpful, explaining the process thoroughly and keeping us up to date with progress during the project. We would not hesitate to recommend Ash Island to anyone looking for and honest and friendly building company. We really hope to be able to use them for a ground floor extension in the near future. Huge thanks to Matt and the team for our beautiful loft bedroom and bathroom - it has transformed our lives and we love it!
Cannot recommend Ash Island highly enough.
We had our loft converted into a bedroom and shower room and it was completed on time and within budget to a very high standard. Any minor issues were resolved quickly without fuss by Matt and Michelle. Our neighbours have commented on the minimal noise, mess and how friendly the team were! Very very happy with our fabulous new rooms!!
We used Ash Island for our loft extension.
They were absolutely amazing. The team we had on site were so organised and efficient. They stuck to budget which is the first time that's happened to us in years of home improvements and renovations. I felt informed throughout the whole process, the team turned up at the same time every day and tidied up before leaving every afternoon. There was no swearing or cigarette butts or intimidating male builders in my house - just a very professional group of guys who knew what they were doing and got on and did it. The loft was finished exactly on time in 6 weeks. We are delighted with the result - it's transformed our home and our family life. Thanks Matt and team!
Ash Island completed our loft extension and also a complete renovation of our family bathroom.
They started work on time and finished all of the building work efficiently and ahead of schedule. The team were extremely hardworking, friendly and polite. We are very happy with the finished results and would definitely recommend Ash Island. Thank you!
We used Ash Island to do our House extension and internal remodel and I can honestly say that they were brilliant and i'd have no problems recommending them!
They delivered the project on time (actually a week early) and on budget. All the trades they used were top quality, their communication was brilliant if they promised something they delivered it and they weren't scared to discuss our designs if they thought there was a better alternative! Bring on the next Project!!!
We used Ash Island for our loft conversion in 2017 and again for our ground floor side and rear extension in 2018.
They have a clear approach to the work and aim to avoid any grey areas for cost or scope of work. this makes a big difference to me as a customer who doesn't know the ins-and-outs of construction work. The price was fair and the work was carried out to an excellent standard. Furthermore they completed the work very quickly which reduced our stress and that of our neighbours. communication is very good with the foreman on site but also with Matt and Michelle in the office. Loft took approx 3 months all in and the ground floor just under that maybe even 2.5 months... which is an excellent turnaround time ! cheers Ashisland.
